LG's Art of the Pixel Competition
I recently submitted a piece from a new series I'm working on to LG's Art of the Pixel Competition.
The piece I submitted, Seinfeld, is a cinemagraph of Catherine, her birds La Bella Bird & Tony Tunes and her cat Pico. She is an actress, needlepoint enthusiast, lover of animals... and this is what she does when she watches TV. Seinfeld is a part of my newest series Mesmerized where I asked people to share how they watch TV then I captured them from the point of view of their television set.
The portraits in this series were crafted specifically to be shown on a television screen (TV glow included and all). That's why I submitted my work to the LG Art of the Pixel Competition... it's literally the perfect canvas for the pieces in this work.
The winners of this contest not only get a cash prize but they get to show their work in New York and possibly win money for their school! (Shout out to CalArts) I would greatly appreciate it if you took a few moments to VOTE and help me reach my goal of exhibiting this work.
THANK YOU!!!
All the best,
Lisandra
P.S. I had the opportunity to participate in a discussion about art with Neil Patrick Harris on July 1st. Check out the screenshot I grabbed below! I got to ask NPH how his love of magic influences his acting/view of art and he made fun of me for having still having an AOL email address. Good times. :)
Selected representatives from each school got to chat with Neil Patrick Harris! That's me on the bottom right!
